Private Varnish Hitches A Ride On The SU-99

On the overnight of Tuesday-Wednesday, June 24-25, 2025, six cars from the United Railroad Historical Society of NJ and the Port Jervis Transportation Museum were moved via New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway. These cars will ultimately wind up in Geneva, NY to operate on the Finger Lakes Railroad this summer. The excursions will mark the first use of PRR 1547 and NYC 37 in several years. The consist was transported along the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway's usual route on the SU-99 road train.
