A New Station For Torrington. Everyone from Santa Claus to the Mayor of Torrington, Molly Spino, U.S. House Representative Jahana Hayes, and U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal wanted to join in as the ribbon was cut on the new Torrington Station in Connecticut on the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad on Monday, December 8, 2025. The station shelter comes with a new concrete platform and a soon-to-be-paved parking lot, making a train's arrival in Torrington a much more manageable experience. This project is part of a larger effort to renew downtown Torrington that includes all manner of improvements.
