America 250 Photo Charter On The Naugatuck Railroad. On the evening of Friday, June 12, 2026, the Naugatuck Railroad/Railroad Museum Of New England operated a private photo charter coordinated by River Rail Photo utilizing NAUG 2798 (ex-PW 2203, née-CR 2798, U23B, GE, 1977), the last “U Boat” built, and Constitution Liner 1001 (ex-CTDX 1001, Budd, SPV-2000). Both pieces of equipment were recently repainted in unique color schemes to honor the United States' 250th birthday. The charter ran from sunset into the night, with supplemental lighting used at some locations for the first time for a group event.
