Amtrak Lake Shore Limited, Annsville Preserve, Peekskill, New York
Double the fun. Amtrak’s New York State Empire Service engines are a fleet of eighteen P32AC-DMs. While other states have elected their own paint schemes from new designs, New York chose Amtrak's own Phase III. These units were delivered in a different interpretation of this scheme. Due to a mechanical problem with now trailing unit 713, 704 was added to the train in Sunnyside Yard on Saturday, June 20, 2020, lending a real long distance feel to the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited, seen here crossing Annsville Creek in Peekskill, New York. 704 was the first P32 to be reapainted into Phase III.
