Amtrak Empire Service, Manitou, New York
Always looking for new angles. Recently restored to the schedule weekend only Amtrak 253 with P32AC-DM 707 passing the famous remains of a ship that ran aground near Fort Montgomery, NY as it approaches the MTA Metro north Manitou Station on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Once upon a time, the deck of the vessel was still in place blocking all kinds of views. Today, the top is gone, and the tide was low enough to almost walk out to stand on top. But the optical illusion here is telephoto induced - the wreck is on the west bank of the Hudson River, the train is on the east.
