Five P42C Pics. The P42Cs (cab car) is a conversion from a P42DC, leaving most of the standard locomotive equipment in place and deactivated. These modified units have been making regular appearances on Amtrak Empire Service trains as they now mostly turn on the platform and New York Penn Station and do not loop at Sunnyside Yard. On this pre-holiday afternoon, I selected five scenes that vary the background and lighting from the past few months. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
