Summer Swan Song. On the evening of Friday, September 20, 2026, Amtrak Train 239 (P32AC-DM) had just departed the Poughkeepsie, New York Station when it passed MTA Metro-North Railroad 307 (SC42-DM), which has already been yarded for the night. The soft sunset provides just enough light to capture this train, which is just past the halfway mark on its run to Albany-Rensselaer, New York. By the next week, this part of the trip will be in the dark.
