The BNSF Office Car Special Visits New York. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Office Car Special arrived at CSX's Selkirk Yard in Selkirk, New York. This highly unusual move is to bring the train to Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to serve as the railroad's base of operations for business during the upcoming Ryder Cup PGA competition at Black Course at Bethpage State Park. The 14-car train will later be moved by CSX using CSX locomotives to be handed off to LIRR. The train will be parked while on Long Island, and is not planned to operate prior to the end of the event.
