A Cold Day in March. The Catskill Mountain Railroad season was just starting on March 28, 2026, when CMRR 401 (ex-GMRC 401, exx-ICG 1052, exxx-GMO 1052, née IT 756, Alco RS1, 3/1950) was captured under a sunny sky as it approached Washington Avenue. The open cars were empty, reflecting that it had snowed intermittently throughout the day. The veteran Alco was sold to the railroad in 1988 and has been the usual power for its trains for decades.
