A unique idea in mobile beverage service, Goose Island worked with Craftsmen Industries, Inc. to convert former Chicago Transit Authority car 2347 (1969-1970, Budd) into a road certified trailer. Inside, beer taps were installed, the underside was modified to use tires, and even the cars headlights now function as turn signals. Goose Island, based in Chicago, takes the vehicle around the area to various events and serve its signature "312" urban wheat ale, named after the telephone area code of downtown Chicago, Illinois.
