America250 In New London. During the early morning of Tuesday, June 2, 2026, a pair of trains in special schemes for the 250the anniversary of the United States met in New London, Connecticut. First, CDOT Shore Line East Train 1602 arrived with Mafersa Cab Car CTDX 1713 leading with its recently applied, red, white and blue safety stripes. This car is rumored to have additional logos added, so stay tuned. While it was sitting in the station waiting to return to New Haven, Connecticut, Amtrak Acela Train 2151 passed through with Train Set 26 (AMTK 2147/2143). This new Acela set has been wrapped in a special scheme created by the U.S. DOT.
