No visit to the Connecticut Trolley Museum is complete without seeing a car that almost didn't make it to the collection, Montreal Tramways 4 (Montreal Tramways, 1924). It was originally intended that all 4 of these cars were to stay in Canada after retirement, but the later owner’s failure to pay taxes lead to the car going to CTM in 1967. Although it served Montreal for 34 years, it has actually lived longer in Connecticut.
