The crowd gathered at just after 1100 on, Friday, February 14, 2020, in Orbisonia, PA to hear the announcement that control of the East Broad Top Railroad was assumed by the East Broad Top Foundation. Henry Posner, emcee for the event and well known railroader from his ownership of the Iowa Interstate, announced that a full restoration of all six steam engines is forthcoming and resumption of passenger excursions. Shutterd since 2011, this is a day that many had hoped for but never thought was forthcoming.
