On the bright but slightly overcast afternoon of July 31, 2013, CSX C711 was heading north across Iona Island Access Road in Iona Island, New York with "Bright Future/YN2" painted GP38-2 CSXT 2809 (née-CR 8273,EMD, 6/1979) leading. This unit has since been rebuilt as a GP38-3 and renumbered CSXT 2002. At the time it was not uncommon to see geeps on locals, but in the modern era these runs are typically handled by six-axle power.
