CSX M701 With Metro-North M3As On The Oak Point Link. A recrewed CSX M701 operated in daylight from Croton West in Croton-On-Hudson, New York to CSX Oak Point Yard on Thursday, February 5, 2026. While the matched YN2 set of AC44CWs CSXT 467 and 486 was a nice sight, the real attraction was the MTA Metro-North Railroad M3As on the rear. The cars are marked FICX, the reporting marks for Frontier Industrial Corporation, a scrap metal firm in Ohio, their ultimate destination. While the M3As have not been retired as a group, some have been deemed to require mechanical work too extensive to return to service.
