Early Departure Meets Long Light Day. It certainly helped that sunset was at 2030 because the when the train showed up at 2035, it was not 3 hours after sunset like in a winter month. For some reason, a fairly short CSX M704-19 (with CSXT SD40-32 8014, SD40-3 1712 and AC44CW 487) left Oak Point what we would call "early" and made its way out on to the Hudson Line. Although its south/eastbound counterpart M701 will come through here in light more than a few times a year for a variety of reasons, the early north/westbound is "rare" indeed.
