The emergency call went out across the metropolitan area today for photgrpahers as we became acquainted with a new symbol from Norfolk Southern, K72. The Sunday silence of Cambell Hall was shattered as this daylight extra shoved through town and past the Hamptonburgh Caboose Museum before turning back for the Port Jervis/Main/Bergen County Lines for Croxton Yard. Freight service on these lines is normally nocturnal, the "rare" daylight freights here are much more rare than CSX's daylight appearances on the lower Hudson Line.
