On December 1, 2021, it was announced by the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum that former Elgin Joliet and Eastern Railroad SD-M (née-DMIR 172, SD9, 4/1959) was donated by the Chesapeake and Indiana Railroad. On the night of June 14, 2021 in Union Mills, Indiana, it sits with CKIN 814 (née-DMIR 162, SD9, 4/1959) in the background, which has since been relettered for JTBX.
