America250 On The Island. On the morning of Saturday, June 20, 2026, MTA LIRR DM30AC LI 521 led Train 6006 from New York Penn Station to Montauk, New York. This locomotive's wrap was recently introduced, bringing the America 250 logo to yet another railroad. The LIRR design combines the America 250 theme with a heritage scheme based on the railroad's GP38-2s delivered in 1976, some of which featured a red stripe for the Bicentennial. The train was photographed approaching the LIRR Jamaica Station in Queens, New York.
