Amtrak Train 1057, MARC 4911, Wilmington, Delaware
Super Sunday! 6 years ago today, continuing its annual tradition of Thanksgiving holiday weekend enhanced service, Amtrak Train 1054-27, lead by MARC (Maryland Area Rail Commuter) HHP-8 4911 makes the station stop at Wilmington, Delaware with an AmFleet I Cafe and 5 Nippon-Sharyo/Sumitomo MARC coaches in its consist en route to New York Penn Station. MARC's rebuilt HHP-8s are the only remaining models of this class still in regular service. The Wilmington Amtrak Train Station Clock Tower in the background landmarks this as an unusual location for MARC trains that end in Perryville, Maryland on a normal day. As of today, 2019 is the last year that commuter equipment was borrowed for these trains.
