Welcome To Winter Light. On Thursday, November 6, 2025, a somewhat cloudy sunrise gave way to a sun-filled afternoon. The Standard Time clock change ushers in the winter light season of more extreme low angles, as well as a return to light during the morning commute. While the shorter light days are certainly an obstacle, they also creates opportunities for photographers to capture different angles.

MNCW 222 commemorates an early New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad locomotive paint scheme with its distinctive script logo. This is the sixth Metro-North Railroad wrap, and it joins the four Connecticut DOT New Haven (McGinnis/Matter) tribute units.
