Metro-North Railroad 102 and Webb Rail/WEBX Train, New Rochelle, New York
Swap. On the night of September 29, 2016, MTA Metro-North Railroad GP35r 102 (ex-CR 2271, exx-PC 2271, nee-PRR 2271) was tasked with bringing a pair of Metro-North M7As to New Rochelle, New York for Long Island Railroad to pick up and bring to the Arch Street shops for PTC installation and then took the handoff of seven private cars from Amtrak. The private cars would be our train for the next few days with Webb Rail's former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) holding the markers and deadheading to Grand Central Terminal that night before making a round trip to Poughkeepsie, New York that weekend and then heading to Chicago, Illinois.
