Celebrating Railroad Labor On Labor Day. Over the years, railroads have created many kinds of "special interest units", locomotives painted or wrapped in non-standard paint schemes. In 2024, MTA Metro-North Railroad released MNCW 214 (P32AC-DM) in a unique scheme to celebrate its employees. This locomotive was the fifth and final of the 40th Anniversary special wraps planned by the railroad, and includes more than 3,000 photos of employees that make up the mosaics on each side. On any given day, it can be found in regular service on any of the lines that use locomotive-coach trains.
