Bronx, NY - Riverdale - MNR Train 843 MNCW 214 (Employee Appreciation)

Welcome To Winter Light. On Thursday, November 6, 2025, a somewhat cloudy sunrise gave way to a sun-filled afternoon. The Standard Time clock change ushers in the winter light season of more extreme low angles, as well as a return to light during the morning commute. While the shorter light days are certainly an obstacle, they also creates opportunities for photographers to capture different angles.

The final of the five MTA Metro-North Railroad 40th Anniversary wrap features an intricate design that combines thousands of photos of current and retired MNR employees to create different murals on each side of the locomotive on MNCW 214 (P32AC-DM, Employee Appreciation).
