MTA Metro-North Railroad, Woodlwan, Bronx, New York

Temporary Platform At Woodlawn. A visit to the MTA Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line Woodlawn Station in the Bronx, New York on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 was a great opportunity to see what the upgrade project looks like now that it is underway. The railroad is not only replacing both platforms and adding elevators for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, but also replacing the staircases. The platforms will be extended in length and have an "internal system that melts snow as it falls to prevent buildup automatically". The temporary southbound platform over the out of service Track Four can be accessed from the west/Webster Avenue side of the station during this period.
