Restoring Order. At approximately 8:30 PM on July 19, 2013, CSX Train Q704-19 derailed 10 of its 20 spine cars loaded with refuse. The derailment took place at Milepost 9.99 on Track 2 of the MTA Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line, as the train navigated the rock cut along the Harlem River between the Marble Hill and Spuyten Duyvil neighborhoods in New York. The incident caused major disruptions to both passenger and freight services, ultimately prompting significant changes to Metro-North's track maintenance programs. These scenes are from the following day, July 20, 2013, when multiple work crews were on site to rerail the cars and repair the damaged infrastructure.
