High Bridge, Rail Train. On the gloomy morning of April 7, 2025, MNCW GP35r work locomotives 103 and 102 are seen moving a train of continuously welded rail under the High Bridge in the Bronx, New York. The train had been stored in the MTA Metro-North Railroad Highbridge Yard overnight and is heading out to the Hudson and Harlem Lines on this day to drop “sticks” of rail, both for planned work projects and to be held in reserve for emergency use. The train is framed by the 1848 High Bridge, a vintage New York City landmark.
