On Thursday, September 25, 2025, MTA Metro-North Railroad operated an Inspection Train round-trip from Grand Central Terminal to Southeast, New York. The train was led by GE P32AC-DMs MNCW 203 (M-Central) and MNCW 214 (Employee Appreciation/40th Ann) with the traditional former New York Central (MN 3) and former Lackawanna Railroad (MN 1 and MN 2) cars. These Inspection Trips enable railroad executives and managers to meet with stakeholders and view the locations of future, ongoing, and completed projects. Major topics on this trip included the long-planned Southeast parking facility and station reconstruction on the lower Harlem Line.
