MTA Metro-North Railroad Inspection Cars, MNCW 311 MNR Park Avenue Viaduct, New York, New York
Facing South, Switching Over. Seemingly, no two MTA Metro-North Railroad Inspection Trains are the same these days. On Thursday, September 24, 2026, it was MNCW 311 (SC42-DM) leading the former-Lackawanna Phoebe Snow Budd observation cars with a Shoreliner Cab Car in the between, shown headed south/east on the Park Avenue Viaduct while switching from Track 2 to Track 4. The train is returning to Grand Central Terminal after viewing various projects on the New Haven Line. The yellow Mi-Jack Crane is part of the recently completed Park Avenue Viaduct rehabilitation.
