During the Streamliners at Spencer event on 5/30/2014, a chartered train took passengers from the N.C. Transportation Museum to the new Norfolk Southern Corp Charlotte Regional Intermodal Facility. Several round trips provided first-class service aboard the Juniata Terminal Company's cars for a fundraiser that supported the North Carolina Transportation Museum. The trip was powered by E8A 5809 (ex-Conrail 4020, exx-Amtrak 315 [and others], nee-PRR 5809), one of two E8As that the Juniata maintains for excursions and display.
