Darkening The Lights For Mitch. Today, it was announced that Mitch Markovitz died, may his memory forever be a blessing. Mitch was a lifelong artist and railroader, working in many roles for the Chicago and North Western Railroad, Amtrak, and the Chicago, South Shore, and South Bend. He attended both the American Academy of Art and the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, and his legacy will be carried on through his art. His unique style of painting scenes became well-sold popular posters. The subjects included South Shore, where he also designed the current freight paint scheme, the Pennsylvania Railroad, trolleys, and more.

Rest in peace Mitch, thanks for the memories.
