Snow Day At WC. NJ Transit Train 1871 passed the Waldwick Historical Society's former WC Tower in Waldwick, New Jersey, on the afternoon of January 11, 2025, with NJTR ALP-45DP 4519 (Erie Lackawanna Heritage) leading. After the Erie Railroad merged with the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railway in 1960, the Erie Lackawanna Railroad (later Railway) operated both passenger and freight service on this line until the formation of Conrail in 1976. WC Tower was in use by NJ Transit until 1986, but has since been restored and is open to the public during scheduled hours thanks to the work of the volunteers. The snowfall nicely complements the winter scene.
