Before Norfolk Southern repainted its younger cousin, The National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri, undertook a cosmetic restoration of former Erie Lackawanna SD45 3607, as seen on October 27, 2011. This engine served on Conrail as well before making its way to the museum. It is coupled to the "Train Of Thought: Education Rail Car", which is often used for visiting school groups.
