New York Transit Museum Equipment Move

On Monday, May 25, 2026, the MTA NYCT Subway/New York Transit Museum made an equipment move that swapped out a few cars in the museum. NYCT 3189 (R10), 3184 (R10), and 6387 (R16) were removed to 207 Street Yard, and 100 (R1), 1575 (R7A), and 8013 (R11) were moved into the Court Street Station to take their place. For power, an eight-car set of IRT "Redbirds" was used, bringing a familiar sight back to platforms across the A Line for a day, though in a slightly narrower form as the 9-foot-wide A Division cars easily cleared the B Division platforms designed for 10-foot-wide cars.
