Naming Rights. From the time that IRT Eastern Parkway Line station was built 1908, until the entire IRT/BMT/LIRR complex was renamed Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station in May of 2012, the station has evolved and grown. But the walls of the BMT platform with its period appropriate tiling still displays the original name of the station as MTA NYCT Subway R-32 3360 trails on the final trip of the day for the "Farewell To The R-32s” trains.
