Junior's Restaurant, Brooklyn, New York
10 Years Ago Today.....We're Gonna Sell, No We're Not
I've always been a fan of Junior's Restaurant. Famous for their cheesecake, the rest of the food is also great. And although sometimes called a diner, it certainly has that NYC Jewish Deli type feel.
Around this time, the owner had announced that he was going to sell the building to allow for development on top of the restaurant and the business would be a tenant, but everyone in NYC just assumed the restaurant would close. I was in the area very early in the morning, and so of course had to grab the tripod and get a few pics of the famous neon lights. And that now "vintage" sign advertising 4G technology! In September of 2014, it was announced that the building would not be sold, and 10 years later, it's like none of this controversy ever happened, and in addition to this location and two in Manhattan, they also maintain outposts at Foxwoods and in Las Vegas.
