Cars Going To Scrap

NYCT R32 At Depew. On June 30, 2022, CSX M363(30) had a group of cars from New York City going to Frontier Metals in Ohio for scrap. At that time, cars were loaded onto flat cars at the NYNJ Yard in Brooklyn, New York for final disposal. The former Long Island Railroad M3s and MTA NYCT Subway R32s were both built by Budd and served the metropolitan area for decades. The train is seen at Dick Road in Cheektowaga, New York, next to the Amtrak Depew Station.
