Before The Street Run. Early on the morning of Tuesday, August 31, 2021, New York & New Jersey Rail 5101 (KLW SE10B) departed the Brooklyn Army Terminal by 58th Street for the run up 1st Avenue to the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal in Brooklyn, New York. While NYNJ works their yard on a daily basis, the street run occurs on a far less frequent basis. Construction on the Brooklyn Army Terminal was completed in 1919, and the Army stopped using the facility in 1967. Since then, it has been utilized by a variety of other governmental agencies, and is currently occupied by a variety of commercial and light industrial firms.
