MTA NYCT Subway, East 180th Street Station, Bronx, New York

The former New York, Westchester, and Boston Railway East 180th Street Administration Building and Station is today used for the MTA NYCT Subway 2/5 Lines. The presence of the NYW&B (1912) predates the IRT Subway (1917) at this location by 5 years. After its citation as a New York City Landmark and addition to the National Register of Historic Place, restoration of the station house was completed by the MTA in 2013.

Lo-Vs In The Bronx. As part of the 120th Anniversary of the Interborough Rapid Transit Company and the City Of New York operating the first revenue subway train from City Hall Station, a second day of excursions with a month of using the New York Transit Museum four-car Lo-V set was operated on Saturday, November 16, 2024. These 100-year old cars are still used on a regular basis for Nostalgia Specials across the MTA NYCT Subway System. On this day, the trips started at the normally closed South Ferry Station on the loop and terminated at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, giving passengers the opportunity to ride both the 7th Avenue/Broadway and Lexington Avenue Lines, including a trip around the City Hall Loop and brief visit to the former New York, Westchester and Boston Railway (today's 5 Line) at Morris Park to changed ends.
