Looking Back At The Northlander. The recent arrival of new Siemens trainsets was a good occasion to look back to August 16, 2010, at the most recent incarnation of passenger service on these rails. A timetable from that area shows that the northbound to Cochrane (ONT 1805) was due out of Toronto Union Station at 8:40 AM, and the southbound (ONT 2202) was scheduled to arrive at 7:15 PM, so it looks like this was an on-time day. The Northlander was discontinued on September 28, 2012. This view, from the Bathrhurst Street Bridge, is a classic railfan's spot, and was perfect for this warm summer day.
