MTA NYCT Subway R-211A Delivery In The Street. On the morning of May 2, 2025, Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) NYCT Subway transported 5 brand new R-211A Option Cars (NYCT 3520-3524), the newest model of subway car. The cars were delivered by truck the previous day to the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal in Brooklyn, New York to an area normally used by NYNJ Rail to pick up cars from Sims Metal Management. The cars were then shoved onto 1st Avenue at 39 Street by a Colmar SL32E Electric RailCar Mover. Finally, they were brought by diesel to the subway system via the South Brooklyn Railroad to MTA NYCT Subway Coney Island Maintenance And Overhaul Shop for final preparation before entering service.
