A Naugatuck GE Afternoon. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, GE B39-8E TBRX 8537 (née-LMX 8537, 12/1987) took a turn leading the
Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad passenger trains of the day. This unit is a long-term lease to the railroad and was recently reactivated for service. At the other end was "Constitutionliner" former Budd SPV CDOT 1001, which now serves as a lounge car and shoving platform so that the power does not have to run around the train. During these hours, the railroad operated several runs of "The Connecticut Ice Cream Train" and an evening "Chocolate Decadence Tour" across its scenic route.
