The Naugatuck's Longest Northern Lights Limited Train. This year, the Railroad Museum of New England purchased three former Santa Fe Railroad Budd Hi-Level cars and former Army Kitchen Car 4803. The kitchen car was converted to a "power car", which now provides electricity for the lights and climate control in the coaches. The three 'Hi-Levels' are configured for premium passenger service. These cars were added to the four former Canadian National Railroad heavyweight coaches, New Haven REA car, and Connecticut DOT Constitution Liner (former Budd SPV) to create a ten-car train for the season. The Northern Lights Limited is the nighttime counterpart to the Santa Express and operates daily (except December 15) through December 23.
