NH 41, Naugatuck River, Thomaston, Connecticut
What would Budd say about this? The well known Budd Rail Diesel Car (RDC) was the only successfully mass produced self-propelled diesel powered passenger car in the United States and Canada, as evidenced by their continuing service on railroads across the continent. Former New Haven #41 was built in 1953 and served across a variety of the railroad's routes. After being restored by the Budd RDC Foundation, it has found another life at the Railroad Museum of New England, seen here on Saturday, December 16, 2017 crossing the Naugatuck River in Thomaston, CT.
