SLRG Alco 5, North Creek, New York
Webb Rail wishes Raven Rail LLC a big congratulations on its recent equipment move, and saving S-1 Alco 5 from an uncertain future. This engine was built in 1947 by Alco Schenectady (New York) and used as their plant switcher. In later years, it wound up on the Saratoga and North Creek Railroad, where it sat for many years. Pictured here on Saturday, June 28, 2014, it is parked in the storage area near the North Creek, New York Station. Go check out both pages tagged above to keep up on Raven Rail's progress with all of their equipment.
