Back-to-Back F Units. When I captured this shot of Reading Company FP7s 902 and 903 at Steamtown in Scranton, Pennsylvania on September 25, 2021, they had been sitting on display in a non-operable status for quite some time. Since then, they have been moved to SMS Lines in New Jersey, and one is restored and operating while the other is nearing completion. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, they will operate as a pair on a special Photography Day Charter with the Woodstown Central Railroad's signature green CNJ cars. There will also be train of vintage freight cars powered by SMS's 0-6-0 steam locomotive. The itinerary for the day includes staged scenes and runbys on both the Swedesboro and Mannington sections of the railroad as well as a night photography session.
