The L Train In Two Parts, and Rare Mileage. Due to construction on Track Q1 in the upper level of the MTA NYCT Subway Broadway Junction Station in Brooklyn, New York, L Train service was operated in two separate sections on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Trains from 14th Street-8th Avenue in Manhattan ended at the upper level of the Broadway Junction Station, turning on Track Q2. Trains from Rockaway Park came out of the Atlantic Avenue Station on Track Q2, switching to Track J2A to access Track J2 on the lower level of the Broadway Junction Station. After relaying and stopping at the Track J1 platform on the lower level of the Broadway Junction Station, the train used Track J1A to switch to Track Q1 and stop at Atlantic Avenue en route to Rockaway Park. The J1A and J2A tracks are normally not revenue trackage, but during this diversion, they provided a simple way to accomplish the work with minimal disruption to revenue service.
