Limited Time Jerome Avenue Express. Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway R-62 1540 (Kawasaki, 1983-1985) leads a 4 Line express train down Track M on the morning of July 10, 2008, seen with the Kingsbridge Armory and Fordham Road station in the background. This pilot program during the summer of 2008 had four scheduled 4 Line express trains entering service at Woodlawn and stopping only at Mosholu Parkway, Burnside Avenue and 149th Street. A similar program would operate the following year, but various factors led to the pilot program not being renewed. Today the R-62s, once synonymous with the 4 Line, now serve the 3 Line with a single daily set assigned to the 1 Line.
