Five Car Private Varnish Move On The Boonton Line

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the United Railroad Historical Society of NJ interchanged five cars to New Jersey Transit that will ultimately wind up in Geneva, NY to operate on the Finger Lakes Railroad this summer. These excursions will mark the first use of PRR 1547 and NYC 37 in several years. The consist was transported across the Boonton Line, ultimately to the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway for the next leg of the trip.
