URHS Museum For A Day, 2023. While the weather was as awful as expected, United Railroad Historical Society of NJ still made the most of its event on Sunday, September 24, 2023 for its annual "Museum For A Day" event. In addition to unveiling a major step forward in its newest restoration project, GE built U34CH 3372, there were a number of other pieces of equipment on display for the public. Hoboken Manufacturers Railroad 700 and NJTR ALP-44M 4424 are both relatively new arrivals to the collection, while New York Central E8 4083, Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1 4877, and Morristown & Erie Alco C424 19 have been around a little longer but are always fan favorites. It is rumored that some of this equipment may be a part of NJ Transit's upcoming 40th Anniversary celebrations, so keep an eye out!
